ESSAY: ON MOTHER TERESA

This is an essay of 600 words upon MOTHER TERESA.

You have might not hear of the name Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu but you have might hear of the name Mother Teresa.
Mother Teresa was born on 26th August 2010 to an Albanian family her parents gave her the name Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu commonly people call her Gonxha in her native Language. Her father’s name was Nikola, he was quite a busy man. Her mother Dranafile took care of her with her elder brother and sister, Aga and Lazar. Agnes got her name cause she was red like a plump and Gonxha means “bud” in her native language. Agnes was a polite and sweet girl. Nikola passed away. So her mother has to work quite hard to raise her children her mother always told Agnes to respect unfortunate people and care for them more than yourself. At the age of 12, Agnes made up her mind to be a social worker and help people who are less fortunate than her. At the age of 18, she decided to join the Loreto Sisters. To go to Iceland at the main branch of Loreto Sisters. She learned English there and many religious languages, rituals, and religious training there. Then she went to India, Kolkata to complete her training at Loreto Sisters. After two years, she passed out to a Loreto Sister’s charity hospital as a nurse with the new name of sister Teresa. She saw their many kinds of unhealthy, poor, and unfortunate children suffering from hygiene diseases and some from accidents. she taught History And Geography to orphans. Then she made up her mind to start Sister’s of Missionaries, she left the hospital and started her journey. She was on a train with a cake of soap and five rupees. Wearing a very cheap white sari with a blue border, as the train stopped she lead to a station from there she decided to go to the slums. She started cleaning and bathing each of the children and infants in the slums with the cake of soap, people were shocked to see a European lady in a white sari cleaning children and infants in the slums. She taught children to write and speak with a stick and writing on the ground but slowly and gradually people started to join Sister Teresa. Many people were impressed and started to donate to the Sisters of missionaries. And hundreds, thousands of girls and women started to join sister Teresa. Gradually Sister Teresa was given the title of “ma’ which refers to mother” in the Indian language by the people of slums. And she received her new name, Mother Teresa. After some time Teresa had a set of wonderful equipment to teach and a hospital of nurse and she saw her dream of Sisters of Missionaries completing. In 1979 Mother Teresa received the Nobel Prize for peace for devoting her life to the poor. After years, Her work was going to a leading process while she won many prizes and tittles but she never wore any fashionable clothes she always wore her cheap white blue-bordered sari. She never let her attitude to touch the skies she always remained as she was sweet, well-spoken, a mother, and a hardworking lady.
On 5 September 1997 Mother Teresa died. It felt like a whole era had died. The Nun made the nation cry. Hundreds of children had lost their mother. She was like an Angel who had landed in India. People of India had given the title of “Saint of Gutters”. Mother Teresa had died but she saw the seeds of change. The Sisters of Missionaries is still active with a new leader Sister Nirmala, to this day helping worldwide nations in the name of “MOTHER TERESA!”.
